In the IVY app, you will be able to log your periods and have the app predict your fertile window and when your next period will be, based on the past cycles that you log into the app.
After you set up your IVY Health account in the app, if you wish to track your fertility and reproductive data, you will need to go to our Settings page and enable the fertility tracker. You can do this by clicking the small gear icon on the top right corner of the Wellness screen, scroll down to the Reproductive Health section and enable the “Track Reproductive Health” toggle.
This will prompt a page where you’ll need to consent to our collecting and processing your health data, in accordance with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Don’t worry, we only ever use this data to give you cycle predictions and tailored content that matches your cycle.
Once this is done, you can select whether you would like the IVY app to show your fertile days by clicking on the Reproductive Health option and enabling or disabling that feature.
When you’ve done that, you can go to the My Diary tab, where you will be prompted to log in your last period and be taken to the screen below, where you will also be able to set your average cycle and period duration.
Once you log in your first cycle, the My Diary section will change a bit. It will now feature a flip card with your current cycle phase on one side, and your cycle overview on the other. You can switch between them by clicking on the small arrows on the top left corner of the card, and swipe left or right to see different dates.
You will be able to log in your moods and symptoms, as well as manually input wellness data, by clicking on the small + icon at the bottom right part of the screen. Under Add Moods and Symptoms, you will be able to add data regarding discharge, physical and emotional symptoms, sex and libido, contraceptive methods, supplements and vitamins and any events that may impact your wellbeing, such as stress, alcohol intake, etc. Keep in mind that the more data you log in, the more your algorithm will recognize your body’s patterns and how they affect you, and be able to give you more accurate predictions and help you navigate your cycle with ease.
On the top left of the flip card, you will see a clipboard icon, which will take you to your cycle log. There, you can see your current and previous cycles, as well as your predictions.
When you start your period, you will need to press the "Start period" button in the app and when your period ends, you only need to press the "End period" button. In case your period continues the day after you ended it, you can edit this by going to your cycle log and entering the correct date.
You can also track your pregnancy in the IVY app by going to the Settings page, clicking on Reproductive Health and selecting Add New Pregnancy. Then you can choose to calculate the conception date by using your last period date, your due date, your IVY date or, in case you're adding a previous pregnancy, the baby’s birth date. Once you click Start tracking, the IVY app will do the rest.
